When you're preparing to replace siding, repaint a home, or assess hail damage, accurate wall measurements are critical. Luckily, there are companies that specialize in creating detailed exterior wall reports—but not all are created equal.
Here’s a look at three major services used by contractors and insurance professionals: EagleView Walls, Hover, and Measure Masters. We'll compare them across five key categories:
Are pictures required?
How accurate are the measurements?
How easy is it to use the service?
What’s the turnaround time?
How much does it cost?

📊 Quick Comparison Chart
Feature | EagleView Walls | Hover | Measure Masters |
Pictures Required | No – fully remote via drone/aerial imagery | Yes – users take ~8 smartphone photos | No, but requires blueprints or manual measurements |
Accuracy | ± 0.1 ft (industry standard) | Competitive “to-the-inch” accuracy | Professional-grade, varies by project |
Ease of Use | Order online, no site visit needed; view via app | Intuitive mobile app, 3D model generation | Traditional/manual, less automated |
Turnaround Time | Typically under 48 hours | Usually same-day or next-day | Depends on scope – often slower |
Cost | Starts around $40/report, $74 with openings taken out | $40-$75/report, monthly options available | Custom pricing based on project |
📡 EagleView Walls
EagleView uses high-resolution aerial imagery captured by planes and drones to produce accurate, detailed wall reports. No site visit or photo upload is required. It’s widely trusted in the roofing, siding, and insurance industries for its precision and speed.
Best for: Contractors who want a completely hands-off process
Pros: No photos, high accuracy, fast turnaround
Cons: Slightly higher base cost than app-based services

📱 Hover
Hover turns smartphone photos into detailed 3D models and measurement reports. You take about 8 photos of the home using their app, and Hover converts them into a measurement report with editable dimensions and models.
Best for: Contractors or homeowners comfortable with smartphone apps
Pros: Affordable, flexible, very visual
Cons: Requires manual photo-taking at the job site

📐 Measure Masters
Measure Masters is a more traditional solution. They work with blueprints, manual measurements, or in-person evaluations to generate detailed reports. While it's not as automated, this service is ideal for complex or irregular properties that digital tools may miss.
Best for: Unique or complex buildings, or when blueprints are available
Pros: Can handle non-standard jobs
Cons: Slower turnaround, less automation
✅ Which One Is Right for You?
For most siding contractors and storm restoration professionals, EagleView Walls is the ideal choice. It’s fast, remote, and very accurate—saving time on the job and streamlining insurance claims.
If you want a more hands-on approach or love the idea of a visual 3D model, Hover is a great modern option with a user-friendly app.
For legacy projects, custom homes, or blueprint-based jobs, Measure Masters fills the gap with professional oversight and manual accuracy.
We've used both EagleView Walls and Hover to get siding measurements. Overall, I prefer EagleView Walls. It is a bit more pricey, but not needing to upload pictures is worth it in my opinion. I also think that EagleView Walls is generally more accurate, though this is just my anecdotal experience from a relatively small sample size. I also find the EagleView Walls reports much more user-friendly and easier to understand.
